·Orion ERP for kitchen manufacturing

Business software for kitchen manufacturers that goes beyond design.

Designing a beautiful kitchen is one thing. Costing it correctly, ordering it, preparing it, producing it, installing it and invoicing it is another. Within Axelis & Partners, we develop Orion ERP to connect that entire business flow.

01More than a design

The real work starts after the drawing.

A kitchen project is much more than cabinets on a screen.

The customer chooses a kitchen, but behind that choice an entire chain of information immediately begins.

Cabinets. Fronts. Handles. Worktops. Appliances. Lighting. Hardware. Materials. Bespoke work. Installation. Delivery.

Then come changes, technical checks, orders, planning and communication between sales, work preparation and production.

In many kitchen businesses, all of this is spread across different programs, spreadsheets, emails and personal ways of working.

That can work, but every handover creates another opportunity for duplicate work, interpretation or a difference between what was sold and what must ultimately be produced.

02From customer to completion

One project across the entire business.

Information should travel with the project, not be collected again at every step.

01

Customer and room

Core data, wishes and project context in one place.

02

Configuration

Configure cabinets, materials, appliances, worktops and options.

03

Costing

Let cost price and margin evolve while choices are made.

04

Work preparation

Translate commercial choices into technically executable information.

05

Purchasing and planning

Order what is needed and move the project forward at the right time.

06

Production and invoicing

From what was sold to what is made, installed and ultimately invoiced.

03Costing

Selling a kitchen correctly starts with calculating it correctly.

A kitchen price is not simply a series of cabinets.

Materials, hardware, appliances, worktops, lighting, bespoke work, transport, installation and internal labour together determine what a project really costs.

When prices come from different sources or employees each work with their own lists, it becomes increasingly difficult to know whether a quotation is complete and correct.

Orion is therefore being built around one central pricing and materials structure.

The aim is that every commercial choice immediately shows what it means for cost price and margin.

04Appliances and worktops

Details that look small commercially can become big operationally.

A different dishwasher, a changed hob, another worktop thickness or an extra recess can affect dimensions, construction, ordering, price and planning.

In a good process, such choices are not only mentioned in a quotation. They must also be available to the people who technically prepare and execute the project.

That is why Orion looks beyond the sales line to the information behind it.

The same choice must retain the same commercial and technical meaning.

05Work preparation

What the customer bought must reach production without noise.

In kitchen manufacturing, there is a crucial translation between sales and production.

Work preparation checks dimensions, materials, appliances, technical constraints, bespoke details and changes.

When that information has to be brought together from several sources, a great deal of time is lost searching and checking.

Orion is built on the principle that information already recorded correctly should not need to be entered again and again.

Sales and work preparation should be looking at the same project, not two versions of it.

06Changes

The customer changes. The system must keep up.

A kitchen project almost always changes between the first conversation and final production.

✓

Different materials

A new decor or front affects price, ordering and sometimes construction.

✓

Different appliances

A type change can directly influence the technical execution.

✓

Extra bespoke work

What is added commercially must also appear in costing and production.

✓

New planning

A change in delivery or site timing can affect purchasing and production capacity.

07Digitalisation

Not more software. Better-connected information.

A kitchen business can have excellent design software, accounting, planning and spreadsheets and still lose a great deal of time.

The problem is often not what each individual program can do. It is what happens between those programs.

Data is entered again. Employees send exports to one another. A change is updated in one system but not in another.

That is why Orion starts from a simple principle: capture information correctly once and then reuse it wherever it is needed.

08Organisation & practice

Developed within Axelis & Partners, informed by 38 years of industry experience.

Dirk Panis · Axelis & Partners · Orion ERP

Orion ERP is developed within Axelis & Partners as a sustainable business platform for kitchen, interior and manufacturing businesses.

The organisation combines product development, practical expertise and support. Founder Dirk Panis contributes 38 years of experience across sales, costing, work preparation, production, installation, business management and commercial organisation.

That experience forms an important foundation, but Orion is deliberately being built as an organisation-backed platform.

The principle remains the same: software should support the trade, with attention to documentation, support, continuity and long-term transferability.

09Which kitchen businesses?

For businesses that want to connect more than design alone.

Orion is being developed for kitchen manufacturers and kitchen businesses where several steps in the project need to work together.

That can be a company with its own production, but also an organisation where sales, technical preparation, suppliers, installation and administration need to align closely.

The decisive question is not how many employees you have.

The real question is how much time is currently lost because the same kitchen is interpreted, entered or checked again in different places.
